Christopher, affectionately known as Chris, was a beloved figure in our community whose kind heart, radiant smile, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone around him.

Born on May 12, 1985, in Manchester, Chris spent his life in the city he loved so dearly. From a young age, he was known for his warm and welcoming personality, always eager to lend a helping hand and offer a kind word. His family and friends remember him for his unwavering loyalty, his ability to bring joy into every room, and his deep passion for life.

Chris was a dedicated employee at a local company where he was admired for his strong work ethic and his positive attitude. His colleagues cherished his presence, noting how he consistently went above and beyond to support his team. Chris’s commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends.

Outside of work, Chris was a passionate sports enthusiast. He spent countless hours on the basketball court, both playing and watching the game he loved. Whether he was cheering for his favorite teams or organizing friendly pick-up games, Chris’s enthusiasm for sports was infectious. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 28, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the McHugh Funeral Home, located at 283 Hanover Street in Manchester. A celebration of Chris’s life will follow on Saturday, July 29, 2024, with a memorial service starting at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester. Following the service, a private interment will take place at the Manchester Cemetery.

As we grieve the loss of Christopher Burgess Jr., we also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
