Becky Green Obituary, Death; Iowa, A Warm Hearted Friend And Mother Has Sadly Passed Away: Becky Green has always been a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering support. From the moment I stepped into my first teaching job, Becky opened her heart, home, and family to me. She took care of this novice, untrained teacher and showed me how to love my students first, then teach them the subject matter next. Her wisdom and compassion have left an indelible mark on my life, and it was an honor to join others in celebrating her birthday a day early.
Two special groups came together to honor Becky: the Salem Prayer Warriors and the Pine Grove Prayer Warriors. Both groups have been lifting Becky and her oldest son, Si, up to the Throne of Grace, and it was a joy to humbly show this godly lady the love that each of us holds in our hearts for her.
Becky was crowned and adorned with a queen sash, symbolizing her regal grace and the high regard in which we hold her. She was given two bouquets of balloons, adding a festive touch to the joyous occasion. Her oldest son, Si, showered her with love, and her daughters, Amy and Eydie, were also by her side, making the celebration a true family affair. Becky led us in reciting one of her favorite Bible passages, Psalm 23, and singing “Blest Be the Tie That Binds.” Remarkably, she remembered every word of each, a testament to her deep faith and God’s goodness.
We prayed over her individually and corporately, asking for continued blessings and expressing our gratitude for her presence in our lives. We serenaded her with “Happy Birthday,” and she blew out the candles on her cake. We joined her in enjoying birthday cake and ice cream. The cake was a beautiful symbol of the two institutions that are a major part of her life and heart: Salem Schools and Pine Grove Church. The Pine Grove and Salem Prayer Warriors stood united, a powerful testament to the community of faith that surrounds Becky.
Through it all, Becky remained her meek, mild, and humble self, repeatedly saying, “I am not worthy of all this!” Oh, but she is worthy and deserving of so much more. Her life of service, love, and dedication has touched countless hearts, and we are all better for having known her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BECKY McFADDIN GREEN! God loves you, and so do a multitude of people. Your spirit and faith continue to inspire and uplift us all. Thank you for being a guiding light and a source of unwavering love.
