Chandler Gayton Motorcycle Accident, Seattle WA, 19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Died In Crash In North Seattle: All northbound lanes on Aurora Avenue were blocked for approximately three hours while police investigated what led up to a fatal crash on state Route 99 in Seattle Thursday afternoon. According to the Seattle Fire Department, the crash occurred at around 5 p.m. on Aurora Avenue North at 140th Street and involved a car and a motorcycle. Tragically, the 19-year-old man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash was occupied by an elderly couple in their 70s. The driver of the car was not injured, but the passenger was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. Officials evaluated the driver at the scene and found no signs of impairment. The Seattle Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
As part of the investigation, all northbound lanes on Aurora Avenue were blocked for about three hours, causing significant traffic disruption.
