Emma Bogacki, Nathan Bogacki And Grant Bogacki Portersville PA Death, Family Of 3 Died In Car Accident

Emma Bogacki, Nathan Bogacki And Grant Bogacki Portersville PA Death, Family Of 3 Died In Car Accident: Tragedy struck in Lawrence County on Friday night when a family of three was killed after their vehicle went airborne and hit a tree, according to state police. The horrific accident prompted immediate and desperate rescue attempts by nearby residents who were alerted by the sound of screams down the road. “All I remember thinking is just, like, just please God, let these kids be OK,” said neighbor Daniel Effinite, who was among the first to respond to the scene.

Police reported that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Route 65 in Slippery Rock Township when it crossed the centerline, left the roadway, sheared a telephone pole, and struck a parked car. The impact sent the vehicle airborne, colliding with multiple trees before coming to a stop. The coroner’s office identified the victims as 44-year-old Nathan Bogacki, and his children, 13-year-old Grant Bogacki and 17-year-old Emma Bogacki. Both Nathan and Grant were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Emma was entrapped in the vehicle and also pronounced dead at the scene. An 11-year-old girl, whose relationship to the victims was not immediately clear, was extricated from the vehicle by first responders. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby landing zone and then flown by helicopter to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in critical condition. Effinite described the frantic efforts to rescue the victims: “The neighbor runs into the house and grabs a crowbar. I’m on top of the red car that’s flipped over, trying to pry open the door on the top car. All you knew was that there were people in the car.

You got to get the people out of the car. There wasn’t any other thought beyond, OK, first step, find out how many people in the car, second step, get on top of the car and open that damn door.”The coroner’s office confirmed that all three victims died as a result of blunt-force trauma. State troopers from New Castle are currently handling the investigation into the crash. In the wake of this devastating loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been created for the Bogacki family. As of Sunday afternoon, the campaign had raised over $48,000, demonstrating the community’s support and solidarity in this time of immense grief.
