Sydney Dunlap unexpectedly passed away. The following Tuesday, July 16, 2024, was declared her death. After learning of her unexpected death, many people, including family, friends, and loved ones, were left with broken hearts. Everyone who had the honor of getting to know her during her life will miss her dearly. She was an exceptionally lovely young woman with a lovely heart and soul. According to reports, she died after a long battle with cancer.
For all those fortunate enough to have known her, her 21 years were far too short. Her legacy, her tale, and her recollections will all endure forever. Witnessing her transformation from that tiny child at the fair into the strong, beautiful, and brave lady she was has been an honor. Everyone who came into contact with her was moved by her generosity and contagious grin. Her love of the horses and the sport was incredible; she was a real cowgirl who passed away too soon. We don’t have enough time or words to fully convey how sad we are about her departure.
“Sydney was a previous alumni from the MPCC Rodeo team and was larger than life. She had a bright smile that would light up any room she walked into and would be always willing to help out where it was needed. We would like to offer our condolences to both friends and family as we navigate through this difficult time.” – Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team
