On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Kelly Lynn Billings, 63, departed from this life. Born on March 25, 1961, to Carl and Mary (Schiffer) Billings, Kelly spent her entire life in Toledo. After earning her degree from the University of Toledo, Kelly spent many years working under Bernie Quilter as the Lucas County Clerk of Courts.
Kelly’s life was characterized by a combination of passion, devotion, and small pleasures. Her work as the Lucas County Clerk of Courts demonstrated her dedication to community duty and public service, since it was more than simply a job to her. She put in many hours there. Her coworkers frequently complimented her on her attention to detail, professionalism, and kind disposition.
Kelly’s passion for miniature golf was well-known even outside of her career. She used to spend her weekends on the mini-golf courses in Toledo, honing her skills and taking pleasure in the lighthearted competition with her loved ones. Her passion for the game was contagious, frequently inspiring others to partake in the enjoyment. Kelly also enjoyed watching “Perry Mason” on MeTV as a leisure. The vintage courtroom plays provided her with solace and amusement, and she frequently discussed the episodes with friends who were also fans. Her admiration for “Perry Mason” demonstrated how closely she followed her profession in the legal system and how interested she was in justice and the law.
Kelly’s foundation was her family. Her brothers Terry (Cindy) and Tom Tressler, her niece Rebecca Tressler, her nephew Chris Tressler, and her great-niece Abby all survive her. Kelly has a unique connection with every individual in her family, frequently planning get-togethers and making sure the family stayed close-knit.
