Lynn Cunningham, a local realtor, passed away unexpectedly this week as a result of a single-vehicle accident while traveling out of state. According to multiple reports, Cunningham was making his way back to Emporia after attending a REMAX seminar in Denver, Colorado. At the time of this publication, there was no information available regarding the event; however, it can be inferred that the accident took place on Thursday afternoon.
During his time at REMAX/EK Real Estate in Emporia, Cunningham worked as a real estate agent and associate broker. In the beginning of this year, she collaborated with a number of other business partners to launch The Splash Pad, which can be found at 728 E. Sixth Avenue. In the month of May, Cunningham brought her year of service as the campaign chair for the annual fundraising drive of the United Way of the Flint Hills to a complete close.

It is with great sadness that I inform our REALTOR family and community that we lost Lynn Cunningham late yesterday afternoon on her way back from Denver. I do not know any more details at this time other than it was a single car accident and that she was by herself. Please keep her, her family, her friends, and her colleagues in your thoughts and prayers. She was more than a friend to all of us here, a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a community steward, and was truly a great human being that has left us way too soon. Incredible week at RE/MAX headquarters this week in Denver. I have many pictures, memories, and business strategies from this week. We even got to sit in as a live audience in the RE/MAX studio. It is great to be back, however, when my plane landed I received an email that one of our classmates did not make it home. She passed away in an accident leaving Denver. Please keep her family in your prayers. She was here this week to help her brokerage expand in a new location. She was talented and eager to sharpen her skills.
